Can Frozen Eggs Make Blastocysts?

Egg Freezing

Below are results from good freeze/thawing techniques. This patient has 11/12 blasts and has had a great cycle.

Patients often wonder about egg cryopreservation and its safety. In clinics using solid protocols, the results should be as above. A majority of the patients are freezing for fertility preservation, with age of course playing a role in useable embryos. However, if frozen below a cutoff age, a good cycle should be seen.
It is nice to see such lovely blasts as it creates more evidence to reassure new patients of the technique’s effectiveness. Make sure to ask your clinic about their results!
